Gaming Innovation Group Incorporated granted New Jersey license

Maltese iGaming solutions innovator Gaming Innovation Group Incorporated (GiG), has announced that it has received a provisional license that will allow it to offer a real-money online casino platform solution to operators in the state of New Jersey.

Headquartered in the Valetta suburb of St Julian’s, GiG revealed via an official Thursday press release that the award from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement was for its Core platform and that it now intends to apply to receive a full casino service industry enterprise license.

GiG explained that it inked a deal in February that will see it provide a range of front-end development and platform services to the online casino that is soon to be launched by the eastern state’s new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City. Previously known as the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort until its closure in 2016, this giant 1,972-room Boardwalk venue officially opened yesterday complete with a 119,657 sq ft casino offering 120 gaming tables alongside an assortment of some 2,144 slots.

“We are delighted to now be going live with Hard Rock [Hotel and Casino Atlantic City] in New Jersey, a first step in our mutually ambitious plans to take market share in the regulated online gambling market in the United States,” read a statement from Robin Reed, Chief Executive Officer for the company.

The Malta-based brand has had a busy eight months as it premiered its GiG Games online casino games development studio in November before the subsidiary went on to pay approximately $439,900 four months later in order to acquire a 36% stake in Asian rival D-Tech.
